A good combination
 |
| Cats are just as important as dogs when avoiding medicines. That’s no longer a problem with the new spot-on method. |
It takes just seconds for Dr. Klemens Krieger to squeeze a few drops of an antiparasitic product onto a dog’s skin using a tiny pipette. But it took several years for the head of the research and development department working on parasite control products at Bayer HealthCare and his team to develop this product and the special method for applying it. The result of this research work is a combination product that controls several different parasites – such as fleas, ticks and mosquitoes – and which the animal’s owner can apply quickly and easily.
The term “spot-on” is used to describe the process of applying a few drops of medication to an animal’s skin using a pipette. Krieger, an expert in spot-on administration, comments: “The medication is then distributed exactly where it is needed.”
